Or, to put it another way, Europeans Americans are honest about whether they go to church live up to ecoregressive standards or not (except dems & naderites), while Americans Europeans are hypocrites. The two phenomena are intertwined: Americans Europeans ostentatiously trumpet their claimed Christianity ecologism because they think it helps them be seen as 'good' people. Similarly, they feel no shame in spreading this comforting, all-purpose balm of diffuse righteousness over every single part of their lives, no matter how mundane or questionable.

Me? Avoid the United States? Never! There's no more exciting country on the face of the earth, as the approving, admiring Mencken quote attests. Mencken loved the calvalcade of preposterousness that is the USA, and so do I.

That quote by Mencken had me wondering if you wouldn't be happier avoiding the U.S. with its hypocritical Christians altogether and spending the rest of your days in Europe.
