Ahh, the loyalty of Europeans to tradition, and to entertainers who once gave them pleasure, but have now fallen on hard(er) times. Touching! Quaint! An easy target for Anglo-Saxon mockery! Vienna's no exception. There, you can travel back to the 12th century, the 18th century, the late 19th century, and the late 20th century. Specifically, the late 1970s and early 1980s. The years of my musical awakening!
All the bands who stormed the charts 30-ish years ago are coming to Vienna soon. While there last weekend, I saw posters for Suzanne Vega, Joan Armatrading (!), Supertramp (!!) and Simply Red. What's next, Marillion?
Don't answer that.
I'd only be worried if you started seeing posters for Rick Astley. Or Johnny Hates Jazz.

No industry is as thoroughly infested by necromancers as the music industry. Just chalk it up to evil black magic and ignore it.
