I have a weakness for grisly first-person shooters, and few have ever compared with Quake. Now, the compassionate humanitarians at Id Software have create a thrilling online deathmatch version of Quake called Quake Live.
Just the thing after a hard day of ratiocination!
Best of all, it's completely free, doesn't require any special graphics cards, and has no gimmicks or spyware or anything, as far as I can tell (and I'm persnickety). You just download a few small programs, create your character, and begin reducing other players to glutinous globules of glowing goo.
My handle is GiantMetalClown, if you want to frag me (if you know what I mean).
@cohu:
That's actually a relatively common problem, and has nothing to do with your age. It's called "motion sickness" and is actually related to sea sickness. The nausea is caused by a discrepanncy between what your eyes and your equilibrium sense percieve - like sea sickness. I suffer from the same condition, but I only get nauseous when I'm reading something while in a moving car, while I can play first person shooters just fine.
Oh, and I guess you didn't experience those problems with Tomb Raider because it's a third person game, with smoother camera movements.

I tried it some months ago, worked quite well but I felt sick after 10 minutes or so (not due to the graphic violence but because of the FPS viewpoint - just like seasickness!). Strange because I remember playing Tomb Raider when it came out, without having this problem. I'm too old for gaming :(
