Or is it "Tweet from a Twitterer"?

(Capitalized, just to make sure commercial and copyright interests are duly respected).

Am I alone in bewailing the cyberfreaks' assault on the English language?

Just where did this practice of writing words together and capitalizing them begin ("WordPerfect" and so on)? Some IT grad's reading of E.E. Cummings?

I would prefer reading the now and regrettably defunct "Rocky Mountain News" than a byte-barfing tweet from a twitter.

I look forward to hear Doctorow speak at the Re:publica in Berlin. I have followed Boing Boing for quite a while and enjoyed their technological optimism, even so i share your somewhat skeptical viewpoint.

regarding the death of the mainstream media. There are very few blockbuster movies I actually like nowadays, but I know that they were very important in my childhood and helped to form a stupid, but generally accepted cultural base for most people my age. Even if you got nothing in common, you can still talk about how great Indiana Jones was (well not with all the girls. but what can you do?). So it would be quite sad if they vanish completely. But if they do, i don´t think anyone would really complain, they will be replaced immediately by something similar encompassing (perhaps Lolcats. May God have mercy on our souls.)

As explained by Jon Stewart, Twitter is like shoe throwing:
