Zizek on German Toilets
Didn't know it was available as a video:
I've never understood what he was getting at, although I suppose I should read the entire lecture before judging. I've encountered what Zizek claims are "French" toilets in Germany, and vice-versa. The transatlantic comparison is perhaps a bit more reliable. I cannot imagine an American buying, or even voluntarily using, the sort of German toilet Zizek describes here...
Does the Zizek´s lecture have anything to do with Charles Peirce´s Categories? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Categories_%28Peirce%29
Me and a friend are just wondering...

Specialists refer to these as "Flachspüler" (flat flusher, "German" model), "Tiefspüler" (deep flusher, "French" model) and "Absaugklosett" (suction closet, "American" model). More insight on this under http://www.poofighters.de/ScheissdesMonats.htm
